at the prestigious Hyatt
Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch,
located in Scottsdale, AZ.

VSIPP’s
speaker schedule is stellar
David
C. Beyer,
who serves as vice chair of the Health Policy Council
on the Board for the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology
& Oncology (ASTRO), will share his thoughts and insights
on “Lessons from the Human
Side of Medicine: Building Multiple Practices.”
Besides the ASTRO
Board, Beyer also is on the Board of Chancellors with
the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) and
is an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Brachytherapy.
He earned his medical
degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine
after completing a degree in electrical engineering
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Beyer joined Arizona
Oncology Services in 1985, after serving consecutive
residencies in internal medicine and radiation oncology
at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center
and University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member
of Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society.
The medical doctor
also is a Fellow of the American College of Radiation
Oncology (ACRO), the American College of Radiology (ACR),
and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and
Oncology (ASTRO). He is board certified with the American
Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiology and the
American Board of Internal Medicine.
Arizona Oncology
Services has served the needs of patients and referring
physicians for more than 25 years. The practice has
expanded throughout the Greater Phoenix Area and in
Yuma, Ariz. It has 13 locations including free-standing
facilities and hospital-based centers. With more than
20 board-certified physicians, Arizona Oncology Services
is the state’s largest radiation oncology specialty
group.
Shawn
McVey
is the founder and co-owner of VSIPP. He completed his
graduate studies in political social work and behavioral
science and pursued a career as a psychotherapist and
program director in human psychiatric facilities in 1991.
His address will focus on “Redefining
Success: Lessons for Leadership Beyond The Managed Practice.”
He is the owner
of Innovative Veterinary Management Solutions (IVMS),
a boutique consulting business that specializes in improving
health care delivery systems and correcting workplace
culture.
McVey is the former
CEO of Eye Care for Animals, a Phoenix-based veterinary
ophthalmology company with 24 practices throughout the
United States.
A graduate of Purdue’s
Veterinary Management Institute, McVey is a trustee
and director of the Helping Pet’s Foundation and is
the first non-veterinarian to be named to the Board
of Directors of the American Animal Hospital Association.
McVey is a Member
of the Editorial Advisory Board of Veterinary Economics
and FirstLine Live magazines and has been named Speaker
of the Year at NAVC and the WVC.
As a lecturer,
McVey appears before international audiences in and
out of veterinary medicine approximately 50 times per
year.
Dave
O’Brien
is the vice president for Predictive Index, which is headquartered
in Scottsdale. He specializes in providing companies with
the performance intelligence they need to: identify talent,
measure job fit, develop and lift the performance of people
and global best practices in leadership development. With
his background, he is well suited to address “The
Mellenial Generation You New Worker, Your New Challenge.
O’Brien’s clients
include Nissan in China, Egypt, Japan, Korea, Malaysia,
North America, Singapore and Thailand; Perini Building
Company, AutoNation, Massage Envy Corporation, SAP,
INTEL, Monster.com, Harley Davidson, Freeport McMoRan,
Phelps Dodge, Avnet, US Bank and many more public and
private companies internationally.
A member of the
PI Worldwide founders club for high performing consultants
globally, O’Brien has been using Predictive Index since
1990 and has been dedicated to growing his clients at
PI since 2003. He has a master’s degree in behavioral
psychology and “a PhD in making mistakes and having
to learn from them.”
Dorothy
Leeds
integrates proven theatrical, creative learning techniques
to help clients multiply and accelerate their learning
and retention. She is the only sales training speaker
in the business who combines an 8-year Broadway career
with 22 years of hands-on business experience as an
executive, a business owner, and a consultant. In
each of her presentations, Leeds covers “The
Secret Power of Questions.”
A worthy role model,
Leeds is a wife, mother, has had several successful
careers, has triumphed over cancer, is an avid jogger,
and overcame a passive, depressed, unassertive childhood
to become an inspirational, energetic, internationally
acclaimed author and keynote speaker.
Leeds has a master's
degree from Columbia University and is listed in Who's
Who in the East and Who's Who in Executives & Professionals.
Her expertise,
engaging delivery and commitment to excellence compels
